On Angels’ Wings has the following openings on our Board of Directors and for Committees – THESE ARE VOLUNTEER POSITIONS. Board members will need to attend monthly board meetings, 4 of which a year are in person. Some Committee positions can be remote, depending on the tasks. If interested, the application has more details.

SECRETARY – BOARD OF DIRECTORS

• Clerical tasks as deemed necessary by the President and VP
• Transcribe and submit notes/minutes from all board meetings

EVENT COORDINATOR – BOARD OF DIRECTORS

• Implements strategies determined by the board for ongoing and new events
• Manages events by setting goals, determining tasks and delegating to board members and volunteers
• Works directly with the PR Director to determine sponsorship needs for events
• Assists in the growth and development of ongoing events and brainstorms new events to help build awareness and make an impact in the communities served

FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR – BOARD OF DIRECTORS

• Creates and maintains a potential donor list for both capital funds and event sponsorships
• Initiates contact with potential capital donors to arrange meetings with founder
• Secures donors for event sponsorships
• Assists in fundraising development

MEDICAL COORDINATOR – BOARD OF DIRECTORS

• RN or like position in the medical field
• Assists in establishing working relationships with hospitals in the organization’s service area
• Provide insight to the board on ways to better partner with hospitals in service of recipients

FAMILY ADVOCACY COMMITTEE

• Committee members needed (chair filled)
• Assists the VP/Support Coordinator in connecting with recipient families
• Specifically works directly with journey families to maintain connection to the organization
• Individual committee members may be point of contact for specific diagnosis to help families

OAW DADS COMMITTEE

• Chair and members needed
• Works to establish connections with OAW recipient dads
• Works with Event Coordinator to put together 1-2 annual gatherings for dads

RESOURCE COMMITTEE (temporary committee)

• Chair and members needed
• Conducts research and puts together information sheets for the OAW Resource Guide

MARKETING COMMITTEE

• Chair and members needed
• Utilizes Canva to put together graphics for events
• Helps with press releases
• Helps to manage blog
• Manages monthly e-newsletter
• Works with social media manager to maintain active social presence on all channels

RECRUITING COMMITTEE

• Committee Chair needed
• Assist Service Coordinator with recruiting photographers in current and new service areas
• Assist with recruiting board members when a member’s term is set to expire
• Introduce and represent the organization as often as possible in order to raise awareness for the needs to serve
