Making Memories Day Carnival

Every June, On Angels’ Wings hosts the Making Memories Day carnival, a community event free for OAW recipients. It features carnival games by local businesses, a live DJ with dance-karaoke, princesses and superheroes, bounce houses, carnival snacks, and more, with a fun new theme each year. The day starts with early access for OAW recipients and a special butterfly release in honor of children who are still fighting and those who have passed. A costume contest with prizes will be held at 3:00 p.m. with categories for all ages.

OAW Families: You are invited to an exclusive pre-carnival at 12:30 p.m. for health safety concerns, with the butterfly release at 1:15 p.m. Recipients attend for free and are welcome to stay when the event opens to the public from 1:30-4:00 p.m.

The event consists of carnival game booths by local businesses, a live DJ with dance-karaoke, princesses and superheroes, bounce houses, carnival snacks and more. Each year has a fun theme! The carnival event is kicked off with early access for OAW recipients and then a recipient-only butterfly release in honor of children still fighting and those who have passed. Entrants must be dressed in event themed costumes to enter.

Costume contest at the carnival have 1st/2nd/3rd place prizes in 4 categories:

Ages 3 and under
Ages 4-8
Ages 9-12
Ages 13+

**RECIPIENTS WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND AN EXCLUSIVE PRE-CARNIVAL AT 12:30PM THAT DAY, BEFORE PUBLIC ACCESS IS OPEN.**

OAW Families:

As an option if you have health safety concerns, we will open the carnival early to you exclusively at 12:30pm that day. Our annual butterfly release will be at 1:15pm. As always, recipients may attend for free. Then from 1:30-4pm the event will be open to the public as well (you’re welcome to stay!).
