Designating Your DAF Gift
When you recommend a grant from your Donor Advised Fund, you can choose how it will be used:
- Greatest Need (General Support): Allows us to apply your gift where it’s needed most, ensuring we can respond quickly to urgent needs and sustain all of our programs.
- Specific Program or Project: You can direct your gift to a particular service area, such as grief recovery, therapeutic photography, or family events. If you choose this option, please note your preference when you make your recommendation.
While all gifts are deeply appreciated, unrestricted (general support) gifts give us the greatest flexibility to meet families’ needs in real time, ensuring your generosity has the widest and most immediate impact.

OAW’s average cost to serve one family is $600 per year, covering 1-3 photo sessions, memorial or birthday gifts, grief recovery services, and recipient events. By sponsoring a family with just $50 per month, you help ensure that OAW can provide consistent support without service gaps.
