Legacy Giving: A Gift That Lasts Beyond a Lifetime
At On Angels’ Wings, every act of kindness creates ripples of comfort, hope, and healing. Legacy Giving is a way to ensure those ripples continue far into the future — touching the lives of families facing some of their hardest moments, long after we’re gone.
When you include On Angels’ Wings in your will, trust, or other estate plans, you’re making a promise: that no family will face the journey of loss alone. It’s a meaningful way to carry your compassion forward, leaving a legacy of love and support that will live on for generations.
Even a Small Percentage Makes a Big Difference
Many people are surprised to learn they can make a powerful impact without taking away from the care of their loved ones. By designating just 5% of your estate to On Angels’ Wings, you can help us provide free therapeutic photography, grief recovery support, and a compassionate community for years to come — while the remaining 95% stays with the people and causes closest to your heart.
The Power of Just 5%
You don’t have to choose between caring for your loved ones and making a lasting difference.
By leaving just 5% of your estate to On Angels’ Wings, you can create a legacy of compassion that supports grieving families for generations — while 95% remains with those closest to your heart.
It’s a small fraction that can change countless lives.
Ways to Leave a Legacy
There are many simple ways to include On Angels’ Wings in your future plans:
- A gift in your will or living trust – A few words in your estate documents can make a lasting difference.
- Life insurance policy – Naming OAW as a beneficiary can turn a policy into a legacy of hope.
- Retirement accounts – IRA, 401(k), or other plans can be directed to support our mission.
- Other planned gifts – Gifts of real estate, stocks, or other assets may also be arranged.
Your Legacy, Your Values
Your gift can be as unique as your life. Whether large or small, it will help ensure that every qualifying family receives the support and understanding they deserve.
We’re Here to Help
If you’re considering a legacy gift, start by talking with the professionals who know your financial and personal wishes best:
- Your financial advisor
- Your attorney or estate planner
- Your accountant or tax advisor
If you’d like to explore setting up an endowment or other planned gift through a trusted local partner, we recommend working with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, where On Angels’ Wings maintains an account. CFO can help you design a gift that aligns with your values and ensures your legacy will provide lasting support for grieving families. You can also contact our Edward Jones representative to contribute to our account.
Some donors choose to give through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), which allows them to recommend grants to organizations they care about over time. If you have a DAF, we’re grateful to be considered as part of your giving. Because these gifts are facilitated through your fund provider, we’ve included additional information on a separate page to help guide you through the process.

Help Us Serve Families Year-Round
With a monthly donation of $50, you can sponsor services for one family for a whole year.
OAW’s average cost to serve one family is $600 per year, covering 1-3 photo sessions, memorial or birthday gifts, grief recovery services, and recipient events. By sponsoring a family with just $50 per month, you help ensure that OAW can provide consistent support without service gaps. Your commitment makes a lasting difference in the lives of families in need.

Support Our Growing Mission
With a 69% increase in service requests from 2022 to 2023, and expanding chapters beyond Missouri, we urgently need more resources to continue our mission.
Your support through our Annual Fund Campaign will enable us to meet this growing demand. By investing in our mission, you help us provide critical support to families with medically fragile children and those who have suffered the loss of a child. Join us in making a significant, lasting difference.
