What our recipient families are saying about On Angels' Wings

oaw-baby-eli-bw-22In such a sad and disappointing time in our lives, it was so nice to have a bit of celebration and admiration of our baby boy. The pictures taken were just that --celebration. We felt so loved and comforted by the fact that someone would be willing to donate their time and services to help us make some memories. We will be forever grateful.

Adi 49I was reluctant to utilize OAW because I had a hard time accepting that Adisan would even qualify for pictures. But I couldn't be happier with the photos and wish I hadn't been so hesitant. I know that I thought it would be a sad experience, or that the photographer would act weird around her. We have had so many people treat her differently, I didn't want to have a somber photo session. But it wasn't; it was a joyous and happy occasion. I wish I would have known that the photographers were so comfortable and wouldn't be awkward around her.

LexiCrafttimesmilePrintOn Angels' Wings is such a great organization! They do so many great things for families who are facing loss. Michelle has taken pictures of Lexi since she was born. Once Lexi was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, she contacted us right when we got home from the hospital and wanted to take Lexi's pictures for free through her OAW organization. She has taken her pictures several times throughout our journey and it has been great to look back at how far she has come. Michelle and her OAW organization have been so great to our family!

AnistonThese pictures are so special to Matt and I. We appreciate these so much. To be honest we probably wouldn't have even had maternity pictures taken focusing on the pregnancy with the diagnosis we were given. Thank you so much for all the amazing, giving people of this organization who give of themselves and their time so freely, knowing they will be emotionally impacted! We also thank the families who sacrifice their mother, wife or whatever hat they may be wearing... [so the people of this organization] can help families like us heal. The pictures are beautiful and... will forever be treasured!

JaxonOur maternity photos captured how truly happy and excited we were to have baby Jaxon coming into our lives. When you lose your happiness, it's important to see things that remind you that you will find happiness again and remember that, though experiencing devastating tragedy, there were happy experiences/moments too and that those were blessings. OAW is so much more that just photography. From setting up a meal train, to cards and personalized gifts, the love and support from OAW was probably the most significant support outside of family. They knew and gave the most appropriate things, when others just don't know what to do. We will forever be indebted to OAW for being there with us every step of the way and beyond.

Hope Hayes 83Our pictures are literally throughout our house. You can't go anywhere without seeing them, and they are there to remind us of our beautiful Hope everyday. They have especially helped our five-year-old cope with the loss of his sister. We had a blanket made out of the pictures, and when he misses sissy he sleeps with it at night. When you don't get to share very many moments, you cherish the ones you do have even more. The pictures to us represent those moments we had. We will always cherish them, and will be forever grateful.

Araya-April2014 3If it wasn't for On Angels Wings we wouldn't have been able to afford professional pictures of our daughter because of her medical expenses. Not only did we get beautiful pictures, we've created amazing bonds with all the amazing ladies that run this organization.

York 5In a mind-numbing, horrific and painful experience, OAW provided compassion, love, and expertise in capturing the essence of our sweet baby, Maris. The photos we have are priceless and will be cherished the rest of our lives.

OAW- Annabelle-0019The doctors told us we might not get to meet our sweet girl. OAW did maternity pictures for us, so we had something to remember her. Not only did we get them, but when Annabelle got here, they came in right away to take pictures of our little one. So not only do we have amazing pictures of her in my belly but also ones of her.

Reynolds 63These pictures mean the world to me. If I didn't have them, it wouldn't be possible to look at my beautiful daughter every single day. I miss her more than words can express. But being able to look at her sweet face everyday helps me get through my empty arms feeling. ♡ I couldn't ask for a better organization to have in our lives.

RuthI didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I probably would have stayed there all day if my husband would have let me. But while holding me he said "He would want you too" and all of a sudden these pictures came to mind. Logan had just turned seven months and Michelle came in and took a few pictures while he was sleeping and then he started to wake up. He was full of smiles. He was so happy to be awake and be around everyone. So I got out of bed and tried to enjoy the day to its fullest extent.

BakerThe pictures mean the world to us. They help us to remember what Bethanie looked like, what we went through that day, and how we got to share her with her sister, extended family and friends. We would recommend this service because we feel it has helped and is still helping us in the process of grieving and healing. Also, because of the pictures, we have proof that God gave her to us for a short time and that she is part of our family even though she is not with us physically.

My pictures meant more to me than I can describe with words. It was such a horrible time, and to have someone come take pictures for us , and support us was so gratefully appreciated.
